Monthly Media Round-Up: November Edition

November may be the last month of autumn, but it also marks the beginning of a new adventure.  After all, nothing feels quite like a fresh beginning as a white sheet of snow. Before we bring out the holiday decor and snow shovels, let’s take a look back at all November had to offer.

Off the top, we are so pleased to announce that Streetcar has won NOW Magazine’s Reader’s Choice 2018 in the category of Best Condo Developer. Each year, the publication polls audiences across Toronto to determine the city’s collective picks for everything from best buffet to best bookshop. We were so pleased to take home first place for the third year in a row! We appreciate the recognition. You can read more about all the winners from NOW’s 2018 poll by following the link.

This month, The Broadview Hotel also made the news. Toronto Life recently ranked the 30 Best Toronto Bars, and the hotel’s Rooftop bar made the list. Alongside iconic establishments like Bar Raval and Paris Paris, the Rooftop at the Broadview Hotel is credited for its amazing vantage of not only the downtown core but also of the sweeping views to the east and south. “See the city from a fresh angle while sipping a cocktail and snacking on beef tartare, scallop ceviche, jerk-seasoned ribs, and a hefty chuck-brisket burger,” writes Toronto Life.

Moving from the top to bottom at the Broadview Hotel, the third and final feature for our November monthly media roundup is on The Civic, the hotel’s main-floor dining experience. Earlier this month, The National Post spotlighted a seasonal meal from Chef Dave Couse. The article, entitled “Dinner Deconstructed” walks readers through a main course of juniper-crusted venison, one of the features on the menu this month. You can view the front page clipping below.
