Happy Holidays from Streetcar!
The holiday season is here! Before we stuff the stockings, drink the egg nog, and ring in the new year, we wanted to round-up the best the city has to offer this month!
Festive Activities
What better way to embrace the cold weather than to lace up a pair of skates and hit the ice? Skating in Nathan Phillips is a Toronto tradition, but if you want to try something different, check out the new skate trail at The Bentway. December 20th thru January 5th you can rent skates and helmets to glide on the 220-metre skate trail under the Gardiner.
If you’ll be downtown, check out the Holiday Faire in the Square. On now until December 23rd, you can shop gifts and try unique eats from local vendors. It wouldn’t be the holidays if you didn’t take a look at the display windows at Hudson’s Bay. This year, expect snow angels, candy canes, and an interactive robot that will give you a high-five!
And, of course, there’s always the Toronto Christmas Market, which is on until December 22nd. Not going to make it? Casa Loma has activities on until the 30th, including a market, a light display, and performances by the Casa Loma Holiday Orchestra.
Last-Minute Gifts
If you’ve still got some shopping to do, check out our latest blog post on six Toronto-themed gifts. We’ve rounded up our top picks for gifts that celebrate the city and the season.
New Year’s Eve at The Broadview Hotel
Not sure what to do for New Year’s Eve? Book a special dinner at The Broadview Hotel’s restaurant, The Civic. Ring in 2020 with a six-course tasting menu of refined Canadian cuisine from Executive Chef Richard Singh. Plus, enjoy a classy Gatsby-inspired Burlesque Show to celebrate the festive atmosphere of The Civic and The Broadview Hotel. Live music entertainment will be offered throughout the night from Toronto Jazz Collective, and a midnight toast is included in your ticket! Tickets and more information here.

From all of us at Streetcar Developments, we wish you and yours a very festive and restful holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year. Cheers to a prosperous and joy-filled 2020 ?
