Monthly Media Round-Up: June 2018 Edition

Summar has arrived in the city, and it’s not waiting to crank the temperature up. Time for days at the beach and evenings on the patio. Before the heat wave sets in, let’s have a look back at all that took place in June:

Big news out of our latest development in the Upper Beaches. The Big Carrot opened its second location on the main floor of The Southwood this month! For over 30 years, The Big Carrot has been Toronto’s go-to for organic and local grocery items, and we are thrilled to have partnered with them to expand to a second location.

With summer weather finally here, The Broadview Hotel’s Rooftop patio got some love this month as well. BlogTO featured the Rooftop as one of the Best Restaurant Patios in Toronto, writing,

“This coveted patio offers a view unlike any other rooftop in the city. Located in the city’s lower east ends, this patio is decked out with hanging plants and features a vista that includes a full Toronto skyline stretching all the way from the the lake over to Eglinton. “

Thank you for the continued support, BlogTO! The Rooftop was also reviewed by Condé Nast Traveller where they summarized the space as “one of the best rooftop bars in Toronto.” We agree!

Speaking of patios, with the new outdoor dining space at Gare de l’Est, the brasserie is now hosting happy hour this summer. Mondays thru Fridays, 5 à 7, serving up sips like Inedit Damm and picks from Saulter Street Brewery Inc.

And now, onto summer!
