Academy Lane Lofts
Here’s where it all began. Our first project transformed an original 1923 Beaches bowling alley into a character-filled modern building with thoughtful architecture that reenergized the streetscape.
Abandoned when first purchased, Streetcar converted this untapped gem into 12 unique suites with striking loft features, including soaring seventeen-foot ceilings and exposed brick walls. Academy Lane Lofts changed this once desolate entrance corridor for The Beaches into a vibrant hub of trendy retail and modern living spaces, ranging from 863 to 1701 sq. ft. Along with Beach House Lofts, Academy Lane Lofts is the winner of the 2009 Toronto Urban Design Award for “Building in Context, Private Mid-Rise.”
