Monthly Media Roundup: April Edition
We all know that April showers brings May flowers. What we didn’t know is that April would also bring with it so much excitement for some of our ongoing projects! This month, Streetcar was mentioned in both Metro News and Urban Toronto. Both articles highlight our design thinking approach to urban living:
We know that modern loft owners appreciate the small stuff, which is why all of our projects are approached with contemporary design with meticulous attention to detail. Urban Toronto took notice with this article, where they take readers inside for an up-close and personal look at our exciting Upper Beach Project, the Southwood. Writer Stefan Novakovic previewed the interiors, noting the “modern aesthetic accented by natural wood tones.” Novakovic also pointed out how the suites are meant to maximize views and emphasize open space, letting in plenty of natural light. The article highlights the location of these two mid-rise residential buildings at 663 and 646 Kingston Road, and how the area boasts an impressive 87 walk score. Urban Toronto promises to be back with a construction update of the Southwood, so stay tuned for more!
The Southwood wasn’t the only project that spotlighted Streetcar’s designer approach. Metro Toronto mentioned Riverside Square in this article on the synergies between the public and private sectors in Toronto. The article focuses on how developers should strive to create “interesting cityscapes, lively public spaces, and inviting neighbourhoods.” Metro points to Riverside Square as an example of “a condo that does a great job of contributing to the larger community.” If you haven’t yet heard, Riverside Square is our east-end development project located between Broadview Avenue and the Don Valley Parkway on Queen Street East. We’re building a 4.5 acre mixed-use community that will incorporate residences, shops, cafes, 3.5-acres of green space, as well as a “woonerf”—a walkable street.
We’re thrilled the community shares our anticipation to build a more livable and inspiring city!
