Monthly Media Roundup: August Edition

As the calendar inches closer to the 31st, we can’t believe how quickly August flew by.  It seems like just yesterday we were lighting up the Riverside Bridge and cheering on athletes at the PanAm and Parapan Am Games. As the kiddos start a new school year and the weather cools off, now’s the perfect time to reflect on all that happened this August:

We heard a lot of great feedback from our media tour of Kingston Road Village . YP Next Home made a Youtube video narrating the journey along Kingston Road and Queen Street East, while local blogger The Charming Modernist was charmed by the Glen Stewart Ravine, located walking distance from our Upper Beach project, The Southwood. For a little history lesson on the area, check out Best of Toronto’s write-up here.

Wendy of City Refinery hit the nail on the head with her recap, saying “I get the sense that the Upper Beach is a small but vibrant community. A familial streetscape of mom-and-pop shops, gourmet boutiques, and restaurants and bars where the patrons are on a first-name basis.” She adds, “I could definitely see myself revisiting the Upper Beach community in a few short years and possibly raising my family in this urban oasis.”

Our mouths are watering reading what The Big Eat had to say in their article, which honed in on the food portion of the tour. A recurring theme throughout blogger write-ups was an overall delight with this changing neighbourhood and an appreciation for its local colours and flavours.

This month we also announced an exciting initiative. MyStreetcar is an exclusive membership program connecting homeowners to resources, conveniences, and to the communities they’re living in. Learn more about MyStreetcar here.
