Media Roundup: October Edition

October was a busy month for Streetcar with media alight about our east-end hoods—everything from Riverside Square to Queen and Broadview to The Carlaw had time in the spotlight. Take a look at some of our favourite mentions below and thanks again for the highlights!

We got in on Toronto’s Lovebot invasion and invited a local artist to cast one of his unique handmade concrete bots in our Riverside Square window. The bots are intended to disrupt people’s everyday routine and remind them that love is around every corner. If you didn’t have a chance to visit for yourself, BuzzBuzzHome wrote about the installation in “Riverside Square joins Toronto’s Lovebot invasion” with some photos for your viewing pleasure.

Urban Toronto continued the love with a construction update of The Carlaw and The Taylor in Leslieville. The last time they visited the two sites was in late July, so there was quite a lot of progress since then. Have a look at their photos and evolution here.

Chris Bateman from blogTO envisioned what Queen and Broadview will look like in five years with specific reference to the Broadview Hotel and Riverside Square. We’re happy to be creating tons of discussion about urban planning among Torontonians!
