Media Round-Up: March Edition

March brought much-welcomed warmer spring temperatures and as a resultgrowing interest in The Southwood’s BBQ-ready balconies and terraces. We hadn’t forgotten about the long (yet cozy) winter we’ve managed however! We saw some final appreciation post of the Winter Stations. We were so proud to be a sponsor for this amazing art project that aimed to bring warmth to anyone taking a stroll along the Beach.

NOW Toronto has an article on new Toronto developments which feature gas lined patios and balconies with the The Southwood highlighted on the list. Our newest development has become synonymous with large outdoor spaces that are ideal for BBQing in the summer (or whatever month you enjoy grilling in) and truly act as extensions of the home. We’re glad people are taking notice!

The BILD award nominations were announced this month and we’re up for Best Website. We feel confident in our beautiful and user-friendly site and can’t wait for the results in late April. Regardless of the outcome we’re proud to be nominated and are in great company and want to congratulate the other nominees for their hard work.

De zeen magazine, a London-based publication specializing in architecture wrote a piece on The Beach’s Winter Stations. Included are photos of every piece in the art installation featured on what looks to be one of the coldest and snowiest days of the winter. They go in depth when writing about the structures’ design and functionality. (There’s even a gif of the sling swing!)
