Our five must have terrace accessories of the season
We caught up with Streetcar’s resident style experts Seven Haus Design and asked them what terrace accessories/trends they’re most looking forward to this summer.
1. Unforgettably bright accessories
We’re big fans of the Acapulco Chair, especially now that the colour line has been extended to include white on white, black on black, neon pink and gold/white/black. For those lucky enough to be living at Trinity Lofts we outfitted the upper rooftop terrace with a myriad of their yellow chairs for an eye-popping addition to the panoramic views of Toronto and Lake Ontario. Our favorite colour combinations can be found at Urban Mode and Morba.
2. Comfortable seating for your soiree
Comfortable seating is paramount for entertaining and this combination offers the right blend of comfort, style and durability, minus buyers’ remorse. CB2 allows you to customize the configuration by purchasing each piece individually, which means your patio furniture is technically bespoke. The Casbah outdoor series is available at CB2 on Queen Street West.
3. Sleek surfaces
4. The chill factor
Feeling left out of the group while everyone else aerates their red wine? Look no further. Morba’s Cool Breather Carafe, which boasts an integrated re-usable cooling stick in the carafe, keeps the aerated wine fresh and cool.
5. It’s greener over here
No terrace, balcony or patio would be complete without the addition of greenery. Enter the planter. Our top two choices, depending on the hue of your green thumb, include the fiberglass/concrete Slant Planters from Crate & Barrel and the terracotta Marbleized Cylinder Planters from West Elm, imported from Portugal. Each series is offered in multiple sizes.
