Founder & President

Les launched Streetcar in July 2002 after a conversation on his front porch with his neighbour. As the neighbours spoke about interesting “main street” projects and lofts, they discovered they shared a similar philosophy on urban living. That chat sparked an interest in unique development opportunities and led to Streetcar’s first project: the reinvention of a building on Queen St. and Woodbine Ave.

The success of Academy Lane Lofts dovetailed into a series of celebrated midrise projects in Toronto’s downtown east and west-ends that earned Streetcar its reputation. Perhaps Les’ biggest achievement has been to keep the company true to its roots – developing tastefully designed buildings embraced by their residents while supporting the people, organizations and cultures that make the city’s local neighbourhoods so great.
